Omar Wanis
Omar Wanis is a curious Biotechnologist and Genetic Engineer, he worked as Research Associate (RA) at Blue Marble Space Institute of Science (BMSIS), Science Communicator at the Astrobiology Studies for Kids (ASK) Program by BMSIS / NASA. Led a number of competitions & hackathons with 450+ active competitors using science, technology, and entrepreneurship solutions like the NASA Space Apps Challenge. Chairman of TEDx Conference to spread worthed ideas. He has volunteered with Bio Team Egypt Foundation. Omar is an energetic multipotentialite who specializes in communicating science & technology for educating different kinds of audiences worldwide, Playing a role in influencing the community, helping other researchers, and encouraging students and graduates to develop entrepreneurial thinking besides scientific interests, especially for different biotechnology areas which make integration of two disciplines (science and business) into the flow from innovation academia to the industry in Egypt by Biotechnology.
إن شغفه بمشاركة العلوم وتبسيطها أثناء البحث عن أشكال مختلفة للحياة خاصة خارج الأرض هو الدافع الاعظم بالنسبة له. عمر ونيس هو مهندس وراثي وتكنولوجيا حيوية فضولي ، لذلك عمل كباحث مساعد في معهد بلو ماربل (الكرة الزرقاء أو الأرض) لعلوم الفضاء "BMSIS"، ومتواصل علمي في برنامج دراسات البيولوجيا الفلكية للأطفال من قبل "BMSIS" ووكالة ناسا. قاد عددًا من المسابقات والهاكاثونات باستخدام حلول مبتكرة من العلوم والتكنولوجيا وريادة الأعمال مثل تحدى تطبيقات الفضاء لوكالة ناسا. عمل كرئيسًا لمؤتمر تيد اكس"TEDx" لنشر الأفكار، وتطوع مع مؤسسة مصر للتكنولوجيا الحيوية. عمر هو شخص متعدد الإمكانات وحيوي متخصص في توصيل العلوم والتكنولوجيا لتثقيف أنواع مختلفة من الجماهير في جميع أنحاء العالم، يلعب دوراً هاما في التأثير على المجتمع ، ومساعدة الباحثين الآخرين ، وتشجيع الطلاب والخريجين على تطوير التفكير الريادي إلى جانب الاهتمامات العلمية ، وخاصة في مجالات التكنولوجيا الحيوية المختلفة التي تجعل دمج تخصصين هامين (العلوم والأعمال) وتدفقها من الأوساط الأكاديمية للابتكار إلى مجالات الصناعة المختلفة في مصر عن طريق التكنولوجيا الحيوية.
