Senior research scientist, department of genetic engineering, Veterinary Serum and Vaccines Research Institute (VSVRI), Agricultural Research Center (ARC).

Dr. Sherif M. Ibrahim, has been graduated from faculty of veterinary medicine, Cairo University, Egypt, 1993. He has earned his master’s degree in veterinary microbiology and immunology from Assiut University, Egypt, 2000. Thereafter he conducted his doctoral researches in veterinary immunology at Free University, Berlin, Germany, and earned his doctoral certificate on year 2007. Back to Egypt he, obtained a research scientist position at genetic engineering department, Veterinary serum and Vaccines Research Institute (VSVRI). Dr. Ibrahim awarded a young researcher grant from STDF on February 2010 to “develop avian influenza reassortant virus and its implication as a candidate vaccine” and he published this work in a peer reviewed journal and delivered one nationally registered patent. Currently, Dr. Ibrahim is conducting researches at the molecular biology field to characterize different animal pathogens and to develop recombinant vaccines. He has nine publication in internationally recognized peer reviewed journals and eight publications at national journals. Currently, Dr. Sherif M. Ibrahim is a senior research scientist at VSVRI.
