Dr. Ehab Abdel-Raouf Essawy, Lecturer of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Coordinator of Molecular Biotechnology Program, Director of Bioinformatics Center, Faculty of Science, Helwan University.
After 10 years in a multinational pharmaceutical company, providing scientific services and field training, Dr. Ehab moved from industry to academia and obtained his Ph.D. in Biochemistry, with a great passion toward drug discovery and development. He got a specialized training in Bioinformatics at ICGEB, which inspired him to establish a Bioinformatics Center at his home institution. His research Interest in Structural Bioinformatics, Protein Chemistry, Molecular Biology and Structure Based Drug Discovery, focusing on Cancer management and Neuromuscular Disorders. He is a certified trainer and had been selected to be a Capacity Building and Infrastructure Expert at Strategic Plaining Unit (SPU) at Helwan University, Manger for Quality Assurance Unit and Coordinator for Molecular Biotechnology Program. Currently he is involved in managing several capacity building and research project in Nanotechnology and Natural product Chemistry. He is passionate to translate the innovative ideas and scientific research into product and services that could aid in solving societal challenges through the dissemination of Entrepreneurship culture.
