Do not be surprised, what causes concern is not the future of the field at all, but rather those students who study it, thinking that it is an easy field and will fulfil their dreams that were shattered by the University selection. Because if you were not really qualified there would be no future for you. At that time, the problem will not be in the future of Biotechnology but rather yours, many graduates confuse their personal vocational future with the future of the field. While some people suffer from a lack of opportunities, there are many who are promoted in their career, one job after another and one opportunity after another as a result of being qualified people for those opportunities, jobs and a rich career.
Therefore do not worry and do not ask about biotechnology future, just focus on yourself, develop yourself, take care to your study and make all possible efforts without getting tired or bored in addition to your perseverance in activities such as volunteering, attending, conferences, seminars, training and building a network of relationships. If you do all of this you will never be complain about there are no chances because you simply become qualified for it. This is normal because of the modernism of the field, the lack of graduates, and the weak knowledge of those responsible for recruitment in the various sectors.
Finally, biotechnology is a delicate field that needs a lot of efforts to prove yourself in it, this does not mean that it is a very difficult field, as the difficulty is relative from person to another, but it is not that easy that some people might think. Many of the subjects that other field specialists are study in their last years of study, are studied by us in the first year. This is not mean it is a difficult field but mean that it is accuracy because you are to have the most accurate information that not available in any other field, you must also focus on read and educate yourself to be aware of all that is new in biotechnology. Moreover, many developed countries in the world are more developed than Egypt in the field. So even if you do not find your opportunity on the homeland, you will certainly find it abroad but you should be able to compete and be qualified for the job. However, we have learned through our study of the biotechnology field that if we do not find the opportunity, we can create it. There are many colleagues who have already created projects instead of being employees in projects of others.
