• Biotechnologists are the link between the of different sciences
Biotechnology is a link between all the biological sciences and the engineering and informatics branches. This feature is due to that biotechnology is a technological field. Although students in the biotechnology field are studying a lot of sciences in their university, but the main aim of this is that be a link between biotechnology students and the students of these sciences individually. This means that when you study science such as Biochemistry, genetics or microbiology, it is not to work in one of these sciences individually from the other, but to be mainly the link between the specialists in these three sciences.
Your passion in one of these sciences more than others should not affect your ability to play your role as a link, with your concepts that increase productivity and focus on the aims of biotechnology principles, this will be a great benefit to multidisciplinary and multipurpose scientific projects such as an artificial intelligence project, this project, when trying to apply it to a robot, scientists in physics, electronics and software as well as neuroscience should be available to provide material for these engineering specialists about the intelligence, but how can engineering specialists understand a biomedical specialist? This is the role of biotechnology students, as they can communicate with students from various fields with their understanding of the biomedical part and the engineering part.
We all have a choice, but whatever your choice, do not try to link it with your field of study unless it is. In my opinion, biotechnology specialists when they are a link, this will benefit them with two benefits. The first is that the person will be ready to lead a team and therefore requires management skills, and the second benefit is that it will open many job opportunities for you.
One of the worst questions that I think results from a misunderstanding of the field is the question of where will I work? Who studies biotechnology should not ask this question, but who studies biotechnology must know that the real question that they should know the answer to is the question related to your ability to provide your own business by yourself. Would you be able to provide your own business if you did not find a job? If the answer is yes, go ahead and study the field, and if it is no, of course, I will never advise you to study it. Because biotechnology encourages entrepreneurial projects and the development services, therefore, there are hundreds of opportunities that you can take it. If you do not, why do you study the field? The job that you will perform in any company is not considered a real biotechnology because of the limited roles of jobs.
Finally, all of these concepts and answers would not entrench except by gaining both scientific and practical experiences. And to gain experience you must know that it is not easy and providing your existence is not easy, be ready to overcome crises, challenges, and difficulties, even if you would hurt by some of them, this will learn you.
